Epigrams

Epigrams is a new initiative that commits energy to the production of new or underperformed works and to the commissioning of new works.

The American opera scene is evolving. With the support of OPERA American and the National Opera Association, the advancement of works by living composers is increasing. Student-artists must be prepared to tackle the challenges of learning new repertoire and understand how to work with living composers.

Epigrams is UTSA Lyric Theatre's answer to the call, our way of preparing student-artists for the rigors of the career and investing in the valuable work of opera composers.
